Months ago, I went balistic with online shopping - for flights to place I haven't been to yet. Me wants your stamp on me passport. Come on, put 'er there!
So here's a list of new places I'm visiting this year.
July: Phuket, Thailand
August: Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia and Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
October: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (does not count because I've been there before but the flight was so cheap! thank you budget airlines!)
March: Yogyakarta, Indonesia
While I'm very excited about these, the reality now remains that... I don't have anyone to go with except for the Kota trip!!! I'm not panicking YET and I know I can do it - my sisters jokingly criticize my ability to travel by myself as is evidenced by my photos of (a) either only scenery or (b) an almost-super close-up of my face and craters with the length of my arms inadvertently caught at an angle. And yes, I can rationalize and say that this is my alone / thinking time. But it sucks not to have anyone to talk to, especially in such beautiful places. I don't want to oooh and aaah into thin air!
As a last resort, I'm thinking of invading chat rooms and picking up random strangers but I'll try joining group tours first. I've never been a fan of group tours primarily because I'm too cheap to join one but now's a good time as any to try.
