A little girl was rubbing her nose on her grandfather's coat, smelling him as she hugged him tightly. This was the first time she saw him, and she knows she'll be leaving him soon. Grandfather: What are you doing? Little Girl: Making a memory! (Lindsay Lohan in The Parent Trap) This is one of the many scenes in the movie that touched me. Children are so free-spirited and pure, and stuff like 'making a memory' do not bother them a bit. But if its supposed to be a good thing, then why do making memories sometimes scare the hell out of me? How many times have I decided against a warm smile, a kind word, a tender look, a loving touch, a friendly hug? I think I need to be 11 again. |
