| Tribute to Sean Connery |

Idol talaga =) I watched the 2006 American Film Institute (AFI) Life Achievement Awards last night because of Sean Connery. He was one of my father's favorite actors, and since my father was one of the biggest influences in my life, I also came to idolize Sean Connery as I grew up. And who wouldn't idolize a man who has had so many great achievements, who has been showered with adulations by men and women alike, who is a true legend, and yet, remains a humble and true person who does not attribute his big break to being cast as Agent Double - O - Seven, to his perpetual good looks or finely sculpted body (Trivia: Did you know that he won 3rd place in Mr. Universe, i-forget-which-year???) or to his talent for acting or to his natural charm and captivating appeal, but to EDUCATION? He did not finish formal schooling as he had to stop studying at a young age to help earn for his family, but he deems this the most important experience that put him where he is today.
This man does not even need to command respect. People willingly give it to him.
Saludo. Sir Sean Connery. 'nuff said.

At the end of the movie, I told my sister who was hot na hot ilipat yung channel kasi may papanoorin siyang iba, 'naku... pag nawala si Sean Connery, malulungkot ako...' afterwhich my sister retorted: 'Kelan mo ba nagustuhan yun, ngayon mo lang naman nagustuhan yun e.'
hahaha! plastik pala e noh! =D kupal talaga yun... =P opkors one of my peyborits si Sean Connery! I want to watch all his films! Gusto ko sya maging lolo!!! |
