Words from Mother Teresa

'The most terrible poverty is loneliness and the feeling of being unloved.'

'There is more hunger in the world for love and appreciation than for bread.'

'...we must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.'

'I have found the paradox that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.'

'I know God will not give me anything that I can't handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much.'

(and my favorite:)

'The other day I dreamed that I was at the gates of heaven. And St. Peter said "Go back to Earth. There are no slums here."'

Me nabasa ako (hindi ko na maalala kung saan) na magandang banat ni Mother Teresa.

There was this man, upon seeing Mother Teresa attending to a leper and cleaning his wounds, said to her: I wouldn't do that for a million dollars!

    She replied: Neither would I.

Eto yung mga banat na 'pag narinig mo, e, parang trip mong huminto muna sa paglakad, at panandaliang manahimik sa isang (iyong) sulok at pumikit, at umasa, at manalig, at umasa uli, na aayos din ang mundo.

Yung isa sa mga nabasa kong quotes from her e actually about her cleaning the leper's wounds. Sabi niya parang:

'I will never clean a leper's wounds for a million dollars. But I willingly do it for love (or God?)'

    *hay*

i really believe na aayos pa ang mundo - no, aayos DIN ang mundo. siguro matagal lang pero aayos din to.
