Let Me Love You Like a rolling pebble to a riverbed As I go between shallow and deep ends, Traversing your every nook and cranny In exploration of your depth
Let Me Love You Like a sparrow to the oak As I keep you company and sing to you songs Of love, life and beyond Until we’ll both, together, soar
Let Me Love You Like a sunflower to the sun As I follow your every step in sweet surrender Treating each day as if life has just begun, And forever desiring to be one
Let Me Love You Like the rippling waves to the shore As I embrace every inch of you Every time withdrawing - But always coming back for more
Let Me Love You Like a Sequoia to the earth As through sunshine or stormy weather I ceaselessly cling To your very heart and center
Let Me Love You Like the cotton to the wind As I scatter my pieces - knowingly, precisely - For our secrets of love to be: Whispered and proclaimed to the world

I wrote this poem long ago, but finished it only last weekend. Surprisingly I couldn't find my source of inspiration anymore as I refined the poem. I just finished it, well, just because. This is my version of love song for no one. -----
(Rain, balak ko sana dito lagyan ng pics / illustrations bawat stanza, Rain-style =P pero baka maging chaka ang effect, plus wala akong pics and tinatamad maghanap hehe. Idol talaga kita!) Labels: chance poetry |
