| Hello - Goodbye |
Bye Mikko, have a safe flight later! Mikko, my brother, is leaving again to work abroad, after only one month here in Manila. He'll be gone another 10 months. 10 very long months I'm sure, for him and his wife, Chie. Gabby, the daughter is too young to understand how long 10 months can be. While Mikko looked unusually sad and quiet last night, 'unemotional' family that we are, we just had dinner (but with lots and lots of food), watched TV and acted like it was any other day.
Well I'm sure the sadness will pass. After all, saying goodbye is just another bump in the road. A disturbance of the norm. A disruption of your regular day to day activities. But the road will eventually smooth out again and return to how it was before. |
