| For the weekend that was and for the weekend that will be |
Had a really busy weekend:
FRIDAY Night
Got home around 1.00 am after an impromptu despedida dinner for my college friend, and an impromptu coffee date with my old OIC officemate and friend Nena (no she's NOT old, but we did work together before =P) and the rest of the current OIC gang at Greenbelt.
SATURDAY
Woke up at 9.30 am to do groceries. Got back home before 12.00 nn, had lunch and prepared for my first driving lesson at Sta. Lucia. (yay!) Arrived 20 minutes late for my lesson so I was only able to practice from 1.20 - 3.00 pm. Then I rushed to Powerdance, Shopwise Cubao to attend dance classes with my officemate, Khaps. Took classes in this order: Jazz 1, Hiphop, Ballroom (Salsa), half of Jazz 2. Ironically, it was during the ballroom class that my back and shoulder started to hurt. After the classes, I went to Sta. Lucia to watch Transformers with my siblings. Got home past 12.00 mn, in time to catch the last part of the PBB Season 2 Finale, just as the 2nd and 1st placers were proclaimed (thank goodness the big winner wasn't Wendy!) and then slept around 2.00 am.
SUNDAY
Woke up at 6.00, 6.45, and finally 7.15 am and prepared for my driving lessons. Amazingly, I was not late for it! So I had two full hours of reviewing and driving (ah-hoo! ah-hoo! with matching contraction of biceps) along Marcos highway (from the Sta. Lucia u-turn slot up to Ligaya) and in the inner streets of Marikina. Afterwards, the instructor allowed me to tag along on my brothers' session from 10.00 - 12.00 nn. After my brother's session, we parted ways. I decided to walk around the mall for a while, since all my siblings were out of the house, until I impulsively decided to go for a much needed haircut. I emerged from the Ricky Reyes salon on the top floor, after 40 minutes of waiting and 30 minutes of the actual haircut, looking - as luck would have it - like Wendy of PBB! Nye! (well at least my hair does.) So I eventually needed to buy hairs products (leave-on stuff to control the frizzes and to hold my hair in place) because I am now sporting bangs, which come up to just below my ear. And most of the time, I have to tilt my head sideways (to the right! to the right!) to keep my bangs from covering my eyes.
Anyway, I was really looking forward to taking formal dance lessons yesterday (my solution to finally catching up on the weekend dance workshop problems I've been having) but I had to put it on hold muna, because I have to prioritize my finances. The culprit? A weekend getaway to Puerto Princesa, Palawan this coming Friday - Sunday!!!! Wheeeeee!!!! =D I've started cutting down on my food intake since last week, and my no-rice diet (huhuhu) is really paying off, because I can now see my prodigal pelvic bones again. This will be the first plane trip I'll fully finance on my own and we only have in effect two days to spend there, so I want it to be really great! I have a wedding to attend also on Sunday afternoon, for which I still don't have anything to wear, so goodluck to me and my dress, and I hope I don’t get too much sunburn. As for my driving lessons, I'll finish it next weekend. I'm really excited to go driving again! |
