Something Something
I got tagged by Cory! Here are my 7 random Somethings most people don't know about. Friends, Family, Countrymen, don't disown me!

1. I went through a shoplifting phase when I was in second year high school. Nainspire ako sa ate ko na nagshoplift ng leggings sa SM. (She wore it under her jeans and walked out of there casually.) Siguro three times lang ako nakapagshoplift. First target was post its, na mahal pa noon. Can't remember the second target, or if there ever was a second target. Basta ang last target ko e ballpen (Pilot yata) na Php 13. Kahit nilito ko na ang mga hidden cameras and hidden agents by weaving in and out of the bookshelves, paglabas ko ng store, e huli pa rin ako. Dem. I literally (and sa atin atin lang ito) peed on my.. skirt. shit! buti na lang umuulan ata non, so hindi na obvious pag dating ko sa bahay. Hindi na lang ako nagpayong pauwi. hehe I never shoplifted a day in my life again after that.

2. Bata pa lang ako haliparot (este feeling) na ako. In grade 1, I thought one of my grade 2 busmates - Alvin was his name - had a crush on me. so I wrote a note to my friend saying 'nahuli ko syang nakatitig sa akin.' The note never saw its way into my friend's hands. Eto kasi ang mga panahong ang mga magulang mo e nagiinspection pa ng mga bag - iisaisahin ang mga notebook para tingnan kung may homework, kung ang mga pencil ang kailangan tasahan, etc. So nakita ng mommy ko yung note sa aking pencil case, and she thought it was funny to show it to my dad. 50 Tiktiks ang inabot ko. (our punishment in Yoga where you do full squats from a standing position, with your arms crossed over your chest: your left hand holding your right ear and your right hand holding your left ear.) Try niyo. It looks funny, but its not funny anymore after Tiktik #11. Sayang, years of doing that didn't give me a J.Lo Butt. In retrospect, I should've made the best out of it pala.

3. I won the "Best in Oral Communication" Award two years in a row... in Kinder (and yes, ako din ang two-time valedictorian noon! Hindi na nga naulit uli). Ang criterion ng award: pinakamadaldal. Teka, at least in English! Haha

4. When I was about 7 or 8 years old, ang mga barkada ko ay yung mga karpintero na gumagawa ng bahay ng tito namin sa compound. Kasi I loved running up and down sand and gravel (ba yun - basta yung maliliit na blue-gray stones) mounds, and playing especially with the big 'sifter' ng sand. I forgot their names already, but I remember they were very nice. As I got older, naiilang na akong lumapit sa kanila. Hay. When did I start growing up? In a related random something, type ko ding maging karpintero, although I was never very good at it. Na-eexcite akong magpaint, when I first tried sawing through wood, driving a nail through wood and pulling it out, etc.

5. My first 'kiss' when I was less than 13 years old, is a freaking maniac priest-equivalent namin sa Yoga. He was a very tall guy, with curly, shoulder-length hair, and supposedly close friend ng daddy ko. He wanted me to go with him to a three day retreat in I-don't-know-where, basta malayo sya tingnan nung bata ako. I insisted to bring my other brother and sister with me, then pumayag siya. So I gave other excuses, until he called my mother, para 'magpaalam' and to tell her I was being immature for crying over nothing. So I cried some more. My mom assured me that it was ok, but I really didn't feel comfortable about it. Imagine the sofa corner where the phone was, me, and then him. Pinunasan niya luha ko, then still laughing about how immature I was, he friggin' kissed me. thrice. on the cheek, pero yung last almost corner of my mouth na. Tapos he had the audacity to call me when he was about to leave, and in front of my father, insist that I kiss him goodbye, or whatever. We never saw him again after that. I guess that's the reason why I have a general distrust towards older men, sometimes, even towards my uncles and dad. I outgrew it din naman, eventually.

6. I tried out for the UP Rifle-Pistol Team and passed. Kaya lang I quit after the first practice, kasi my dad was sick already at that time and I had to go home immediately after school, almost everyday. I really regretted it at that time. Ngayon, I couldn't even hit plastic soldiers with plastic bullets sa perya. So I guess it really just wasn't meant to be. =)

7. I am a fan of everything papak. Milk (& Sugar) papak; Milo papak; Milo, Milk (& Sugar) papak; Milo, Coffeemate (& Sugar) papak; Swissmiss papak, Cereals papak; Hotcake mix papak. Apparently, hindi uso sa akin ang tubig.

Taya time! I tag Chei, Daniel, Emkay, Nena, Polly, Thet, Yen. As part of the rule, each person I tagged has to tag another seven. =D
