Himala, wala akong maikwento mashado. pramis, maiksi lang ito! Off the top of my head:
- DON'T Watch The Heartbreak Kid in the movies. There's something about Ben Stiller comedies that doesn't work for me anymore. I guess like Jim Carrey, he became so synomymous with his signature screaming fits and 'atatatata-tatatata' with his arms waving madly that its gotten so predictable. Plus, BAD TRIP ang ending! (uuuuyyy may affected!) Papahiramin ko na lang kayo ng DVD, wag niyo nang pag-gastusan.
- Saw the trailer of The Dark Knight. I didn't understand anything of it, all I can say is: Heath Ledger is scary. His depiction of Joker is as Dark as... Knight. He almost looks like The Crow on E and, itching for a killing spree. I'll probably only watch this because of him (What a waste of really good talent =( ) Ironically, much as I like Christian Bale ['s butt in American Psycho] I just dont think he makes a good Batman. Even George Clooney doesn't do him justice. Michael Keaton ako forever. Ok din si Val Kilmer.
- Saw 27 Dresses last weekend. I wasn't supposed to because I wasn't counting on it to be worth my money, to be blunt. Lalo na sa panahon ngayon, when movie ticket prices can buy 3-4 McDo Chicken Fillet meals. I like Katherine Heigl, but I must have outgrown 'there's something about mary' type of movies. my first choice though was P.S. I love you, although my mistake was I read a review first so biased na ako against it. In the end, di na namin yun pinanood kasi the movie had already started by the time we got there and I figured at that time I wanted something light and relatable (may word bang ganon???) - not something heavy and unrealistically inspiring. So anyway, I ended up liking 27 Dresses kasi nga it was light and bubbly. And because i like Katherine. and James Marsden. and because it had a happy ending. hmmm so may chance pa ako to find true love... ummm just 22 more dresses to go.
- Blades of Glory: now THIS is a movie worth watching. Wa ako ma-say just watch it if you haven't yet! I think I grew an extra tonsil laughing my head off.
- Alien vs. Predator (a.k.a. AVP) - Oh yes, I watched that too!!! with my two brothers, who else??? May isang tanong lang ako: why do the good guys always fall for the pretty [slutty], manipulative ***ches who have a supposedly good-looking jerk for a boyfriend na bubugbugin lang yung good guy while the girl stands there helplessly and does nothing but scream in vain for the bf to stop. It doesn't work of course so the bf walks away smugly, while the girl looks guiltily back at the good guy but then she leaves him anyway? Tapos the next chance she gets, she seduces the good guy, and magpapaseduce naman si good guy. Hmm... so that's the way to get the good guy to like you...
Ok ba gumawa ng review?? Napaka subjective and biased hehehe
Anyway, sa kabilang dako, ang aking kapatid ay nagdadalaga, and I think I may be suffering slightly from a parental symptom of seeing a child starting to like the opposite sex. Busy rin sya sa school, so we don't get to talk as much like before. Kapag naman magkukuwento sya and mapapagsabihan ko, she'll end up saying she doesn't want to talk about it na lang dahil satsat ako ng satsat. Now I know what it feels like when my parents told me 'kung ano ang ginagawa mo sa akin, yan din ang gagawin sa yo ng anak mo.' I'm treading very carefully now, because as much as I want to protect her, I also don't want her to feel restricted and alienated.
hmmm. Everybody is growing up... except me! trip ko lagi mag Timezone ngayon! I've been to Timezone twice in the last two weeks, and I have a whopping 47 tickets on my Timezone powercard! eat that!!! pwede na ako magparedeem ng maraming plastic dinosaur or sundalo figurines na 3 tickets/piece lang hehehe
