)(*T$%((#&*% Gobyerno!! Nagagalit ako sa nagimbento ng Inheritance / Estate Tax! Bad trip kayo sa buhay ko!
Nag-insert lang ako ng link dyan, but really it doesn't help. Yan ang isa sa mga hindi ko maintindihan na bagay sa mundo bukod sa 'What is the purpose of my life?' and 'What is truth?' First of all, when you buy a property, may sales tax, VAT whatever nang kasama yun. And to begin with, you buy a property with your salary, which has already been deducted with income tax. Ok. Tapos every year, magbabayad ka ng amelyar (I dont know what it is, but it still sounds like some kind of tax to me). Ok uli. If you sell the lot, may tax na naman. Kapag ipamana mo ang lot, may tax pa rin!! linchak! So I just can't do the math pero puro minus ang nakikita ko. And that can't be good. No wonder tax evaders evade payment.
Now I know the meaning of 'buti kung sa mabuti napupunta ang tax ko.' I never really minded income tax before. But this one hit me really big. bulls***!

I read in some horoscope that 2008 will be a good year for me. Then why the hell is it starting off like this??? Sabi nga pala ng friend ko, be patient because good things come to those who wait. hmmm. fine!

I was supposed to go to a Sandwich gig last night. Unfortunately, late ako nakaalis sa office kasi I was finishing something. By the time my brother and I were on our way to the place, e patapos na daw. =( nakinig pa naman ako ng Sandwich album the whole day to put myself in the mood. Anyway, nahiya naman ako sa bro ko kasi he fetched my from my office at the Fort (all the way from his office in Cubao) tapos wala syang napala. So we had dinner at Eastwood. Saka sasama ang loob ko no na hindi natuloy ang lakad na inanticipate ko pa naman. After I missed our Hip Hop Abs and Running classes twice this week (and I'm gonna miss it again for the next two weeks), wala na akong buhay! =(
Lo and Behold, when we got to Eastwood, nandun ang Bloomfields, tumutugtog. Pwede na rin. At first, comment ako ng comment, about how they don't have originality kasi mashadong Beattles look-alike, unlike Orange & Lemons, who managed to create its own identity. After two songs, aba, napapaindak na rin ako. Maya maya i found myself clapping and hooting after them. Hindi lang boses at kamay nila ang may talent - pati legs, talented din! grabe ang tuhod ng isang guy dun, parang gawa sa kalamay. And sooooooooooooobrang galing ng drummer nila! It turned out to be really good and they were fun and I would watch them again. =) Anyway, ang clincher ay: after they were done with their set, one of the guys from Bloomfield - JR or RJ - came towards our table, went past us (pasmile smile pa ako sa kanya) and then binati niya mga tita niya who were sitting directly behind us!! Natameme ako e.. well I only hoped his titas didn't hear much of what I was saying earlier. Bumawi naman ako towards the end e. hehe

I haven't given any updates much about my driving - but that's because I haven't been doing much of it over the last few months. Except maybe five or 6 times since Christmas, when my bro would kindly let me take the wheel. The longest drive I had was from Sikatuna Village to our house during New Year's day. Ang yabang yabang ko magdrive - paano, walang ibang sasakyan sa kalsada. It was about 7 in the morning eh. hehe. Well last night yung latest driving stint ko, and I'm proud to say na nagiimprove daw ako! yahuuuu! Nakakapagshift na ako ng gear without sneaking a peek at the stick, and hindi ako namamatayan. And first time ko to drive into a gasoline station! wheee! Well thats that. I hope makapagdrive ako uli soon. Surely not in the next two weeks because... I'll be going to Japan!!! Then stopping over at Hong Kong (and hopefully Macau) on the way back to Manila =D

I'm leaving this Saturday, on a very early flight. I've waited for this my whole life, but I can't bring myself to be too excited about it. Paano, I'm nervous about how our event there would go. For some reason, hindi ko sya kasing gamay kesa nung similar event namin last year. Plus, dahil sa HANEP na estate tax na yan, I can't really spend much while I'm travelling. Actually I can't spend much for the whole year period. Kaya tanggap ko na rin that I'm going to miss all of the major concerts this Feb/March. But I should be excited kasi I'm going to meet my cousins and relatives there. Plus, hopefully I'll get to see some snow! I already bought some coats, gloves, a bonnet and muffler - astig hehe I look so koreanovela! =D Too bad, I think magkakasakit ako. Kasi ang lamig ngayon e, kaya lagi masakit ngayon nasal chuchu ko and throat. Heniwei. ANo ba ang nationality ni Allan Wu? Sana taga HK sya at mahunting ko hehe.

Bad trip at talo si Marc and Rovilson sa Amazing Race Asia 2!!! Well, I'm sure nabalitaan niyo na rin yun so di na ako magrereact. Basta sayang lang ang winning streak nila.
